The free diagnostic and score report

What the diagnostic covers, how long it takes, how pause and resume work, and what your score report includes.

Last updated July 30, 2026

The full diagnostic mirrors the real exam. Question count and time limit come from the exam you selected, so a full-length exam means a full-length diagnostic. A shorter mini diagnostic with 50 questions in 60 minutes is also available for a quicker read.

Your first diagnostic is free once per account, with no card required. If you hold an active license for an exam, diagnostics for that exam are included and don't use up the free one. Additional diagnostics beyond that cost study credits, with the current cost always shown before you start.

Pause and resume

Progress saves automatically every few seconds. Close the browser mid-diagnostic and you'll pick up where you left off, with your answers, remaining time, and question order intact. Starting fresh instead is offered as an explicit choice.

After you submit, StudyHaul scores the attempt, runs a competency assessment, and writes a narrative score report with domain breakdowns, missed topics, and pacing patterns. The report is yours to keep whether or not you ever buy a license. A score report describes performance on StudyHaul material and does not predict an official result.

Common questions

Is the diagnostic really free?

Yes. The first full-length diagnostic and its score report are free once per account, with no credit card and no auto-charging trial.

Can I retake the diagnostic?

Yes. Retakes are unlimited, but after your free one each attempt costs study credits unless an active license for that exam covers it. The cost is shown before you start.
